Interns are current students or recent graduates within one year that want to gain practical training in their field of study through 3-week to 12-month programs in various industries.
Trainees are graduates with 1+ year of experience or a professional without a degree and 5+ years of experience in their field that want to advance their professional expertise. Training programs can last up to 18 months.
U.S. Companies also known as Host Employers can bring in skilled talent through the J-1 Intern and Trainee programs. These programs bring opportunities for cultural exchange, innovation, and professional development.
